The Level Up

Happy Sunday! I spent the lovely cool Saturday working in my yard, planting some fall flowers. I'm hoping for blooms toward the end of the week. Pictures will come.
Ummm Karen, it's been a second since you last posted. What's up with that?
Bottom line: my blog formatting went wonky. So I had to level up my game, which took some time. This is leveling up.
Karen, it’s not even done. That is totally not you on the “About Me” page.
Yeah, it’s not. If you go along for the ride, this is an opportunity to watch me, someone with marginal interest in web design, try to design a website.
Fine. What’s the shot clock on this one?
End of the calendar year. Right now I have a framework. I’m going to be regularly doing things— who knows, maybe I’ll write about it.
What about the old posts?
There are a total of seven of them. I might add them later. I might not. Maybe I'll get lazy and rerun them. Who knows?
Otherwise, here’s what’s up this week in library land:
Classes were canceled because it’s a three-day week and one of those days involves me being in a meeting all morning. That said, I have stuff to do:
Like most librarians, I have several “other duties as assigned”. One of those other duties involves the controllable assets audit. At some point this week, I have to go room-to-room and make sure what’s documented in each classroom is what’s actually there.
Otherwise, my stuff is library-related:
Signage, as in I need to create some.
I’m also hosting a day-long PSAT meeting.
Finishing up my summer weeding project, which means removing another five boxes of books from the collection and sending them off for reassignment.
I have a meeting with one of the directors of library/ media services, but I’m not sure when.
Marginal amount of shelving. This week I’ll spend maybe a couple hours total on that.
Repair the LEGO wall.
Prep the space for a day-long training on Monday morning.
And, my favorite thing I’m working on this week: getting ready for our Day of the Dead experience.
Wait . . . you didn’t talk about lunch.
Again, three-day week. My lunch will consist of a salad I purchased at Central Market and the you-pick-two menu from Panera. Or something. I’m not exerting myself on a three-day week.
